Vincent (Vinny) Desiderioscioli is an award-winning producer, director, editor and photographer. He spent 25 years with Marriott International as a producer and Manager of Production in the Creative Services department, an internal services group focused on meetings and events, video production, photography and graphics. Over the last five years there, Vinny’s team completed more than 685 projects for both internal and external audiences, generating $1.5 million in revenue. In addition to video production, he continues to be involved in the creation of some of Marriott’s biggest events.
Vinny’s interest in photography turned professional with the advent of DSLR videography. He started taking stills at fan conventions and moved to large events, product shoots and portraits. He also works as a seasonal supervisor of digital photography with Six Flags America.
He has always enjoyed storytelling. His interest in documentaries began while he was employed in the Special Projects department at WWOR-TV (Ch9 NY), where he worked on five documentaries. His experience includes directing multi-camera shoots at live events, studio production and location shooting. He produced and released his own documentary about the laser tag industry and is currently working on one about fan run conventions.
Through his company, Yo Vinny! Productions, LLC, he has worked for the US government, corporations, associations, event companies and non-profits.
He’s had fun and diverse jobs in the industry, including talent handler and seat filler at three different Grammy Award events, tour guide at Disney-MGM Studios and video director for concerts at The Theater at MGM National Harbor.
